Following recent flooding a vast amount of man made debris has been left deposited along the banks of the river Aire.
Together we can remove this debris and in doing so help prevent further pollution and danger to wildlife along with improving the visual appearance of an area enjoyed by many people from all walks of life.
In doing so we can also build a stronger community and discuss ideas on how we can work together to prevent and resolve the impact of flooding and the problems it can bring.
If you would like to help please come along on the following dates or pass this on to any one you think may wish to get involved – all are welcome.
Sunday 24th & Sunday 31st January 2016, 10:00 – 13:00
Please bring sturdy foot wear, strong gloves and refuse sacks if possible.
Meet at Nab Wood Cemetery & Crematorium
Further events will be planned in the future and the involvement of local organisations is currently being sought along with the development of a comprehensive action plan including responsible waste disposal. For more details contact Mat Holloway on firstname.lastname@example.org
An important note – please be aware that we will be working in close proximity to fast flowing and potentially dangerous water and as such
