PeerTalk, a national charity underpinned by the Methodist Church, is looking for volunteers to help run a peer support group for people living with depression in Bradford. You don’t need to be an expert – but an interest in mental health and being a good listener helps. The Training Day is on Saturday 16 June at The Rendezvous Hotel, Keighley Road, Skipton BD23 2TA , 9.45am – 4pm. More details at www.peertalk.org.uk/index.php/volunteer or contact firstname.lastname@example.org
PeerTalk is a registered charity, initially funded by the Methodist Church, and is expanding its reach nationally to support people living with depression, mental distress and overwhelm. Such a group already runs in Bradford, at Aldersgate Methodist Church, Common Road, Low Moor, Bradford (see the attached poster). Other groups in Yorkshire include one in Batley, and one in Settle. The need is clearly evident. It is good to see the peer support offering hope to those in a difficult place.
