saltaire canteen

Message from Ruth Tilt, manager of Saltaire Canteen

Jesus said ‘Let nothing be wasted’ (John 6:12)      Do you agree?

My name is Ruth Tilt, the new manager of Saltaire Canteen, for those who don’t know me I live in Shipley, attend St Johns Great Horton and I used to manage Vicars Café from 2010- 2012.  Saltaire Canteen is looking to build community, whilst also dealing with the issue of food waste.  God has laid strong foundations in 79 Victoria Road spiritually and we are looking forward to seeing the harvest gathered that God has promised in our prayer times.

The Canteen volunteer team is a great place to learn some new skills, gain confidence to get back into the work place, or just to give back to the community. The canteen is a friendly community space from a cross section of society.

Saltaire Canteen is looking for volunteers for a number of areas, whether you can volunteer an hour a month or once a week.
