12.00 noon Tuesday 27th September
The Prayer Walk will begin in Shipley Market Place, then through SBC’s little garden down Rosse Street pausing at the Baptist Car park – the entrance to the Food Bank, remembering Cuppacare.
Stop again at the Main Road to give thanks for the Salvation Army (who’ve always been an Inside out Church) and the Job Centre.
Then continue along Saltaire Road recalling the importance of eating together.
Give thanks for Wycliffe School – The Birthplace of Zephaniah!? For the old Salts Hospital and all those involved in the NHS.
At this point we turn into Victoria Road and pray for the meetings in the Victoria Hall, give thanks for all the meetings in the Saltaire Canteen, Alpha courses and the work done throughout our area by the Shipley Food Project.
Saltaire URC has always been a very prominent part of the village so let us give thanks for all the tourists that visit and for the welcome that they are given.
Finally we cross the river into Robert’s Park and pray for the big events that will take place there – the Youth Event, the Big Picnic and for all the quieter conversations too.
