A group of Shipley people are gathering together enjoying the last of autumn sunshine. However their contentment is spoilt by the thought of the inevitable cold and dark days that lie ahead. One member of the group tries to encourage them with three stories of faith-
…Noah obeying directions to build a boat despite the ridicule of those around him (he’s sixty miles from the seas for heavens sake!)
David, a humble shepherd boy facing not only the might of the Philistine army but the fearsome giant Goliath secure in the knowledge God is with him…
…and a final story- a story where a group of frightened people, not unlike themselves face the savage death of the person they saw as the Messiah-
Through the acting out of these stories questions of faith and belief are addressed, if not resolved… Can now the dark winter be faced?
Told in the style of a traditional Mystery Play the production is a co-venture between the various churches that form Shipley Christians Together.
